Norris (Nick) A. Kessler III

Norris A. “Nick” Kessler, III is a lifelong Tennessean and an experienced attorney serving Franklin County and surrounding communities from his office in Decherd, Tennessee.

Born in Memphis and raised in Columbia, Mr. Kessler developed an early interest in the law through his mother’s work at a law office. He graduated from Columbia Academy in 1992, earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in 1997, and received his law degree from the University of Memphis School of Law in 2002.

After beginning his legal career in Winchester, Tennessee, Mr. Kessler spent more than 20 years as a partner at Davis, Kessler & Davis, where he built a broad general practice and earned a strong reputation for practical, results-focused representation. In 2025, he opened his own law office in Decherd to continue serving the community he has called home for more than two decades.

Mr. Kessler represents individuals and families in matters involving personal injury, family law, criminal defense, bankruptcy, and wills and estates. He is licensed to practice in all Tennessee state courts and is admitted to the Supreme Court of Tennessee, as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Tennessee—allowing him to represent clients at every level when their case requires it.

He is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, and the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association, and stays current on changes in the law to better serve his clients.
